Francine A monster storm just rolled through, and woke me up. Lots of lightening and thunder boomers....very cool! It did scare the kitties, even the older one, who usually doesn't even notice.

So, can't quite get back to sleep, and thought I would stop into OLP (edit...and Common Ground).

I was lying in bed thinking. I do my best pondering then, almost able to solve world problems.

Don't you think if folks would just be kind in their thoughts and deeds, and feel they can speak out for what they believe easily, life would be nicer in general? If we could learn to not judge people for what they believe in, but be able to see the goodness in them, maybe we could build a peaceful society everywhere.

If everyone could truely live by these words. 'Let there be peace on earth, and let it begin with me.', it would be a better world.

There you have it. It is the easy directions to peace. I can sleep now, knowing I have come up with the perfect plan for world peace.

fantayzya I agree completely Francine,

The only problem I see is that there are people out there, who despite my very best efforts, I am not able to see as 'nice'

There is a guy at work for example. He's not really a disgusting person (there are those too-even in my most generous of moods there are a couple that simply turn my stomach lol) He's not a bad worker. All indications point to him having a good home life with a nice family. He's just not a nice guy. No matter how hard anyone tries to befriend him or at least just get along, he's a jerk. Sarcastic, belittling, and just downright mean comments. Sabotaged work projects, nothing dangerous, just stuff to either make you look bad or make the job take longer, or be much dirtier or more difficult than it has to be. He's just not a nice person and no one can find a reason for it. The only upside is that he doesn't discriminate. He's a jerk to everyone lol.

Now if we can get him to subscribe to your idea, we have a chance of making it work on anyone!
