Hi shelle,
Go out and find yourself a small pack of aromatherapy bath salts, fill a tub with hot water, light a pretty candle, put on some soft jazz or light classical music grab a book (NOT A TEXT BOOK!) and give yourself a soak break.
I promise you'll feel at least a little better.
Hang in there, the end is worth the means.

Here is a spoon aaaannnd an half gallon of double chocolate ice cream! You can eat it while you relax in your bubble bath.

I feel your pain shelle :( I hated college - especially since I was a commuter and not a dorm chickie. All the professors treated us like we were spoiled kids who had nothing better to do than term papers and play drinking games, and whose mommy and daddy were paying their way. Of course I was married when I started and pregnant during my last semester, and trying to explain that I had life and responsibilites outside college was like bashing my head on a brick wall. Can you believe I needed letters from my obstetrician when I had doctor appointments to be excused from class?! And I was paying HOW MUCH to be there out of MY pocket? Grrrr... I still have hostilities about all that, and snarl every time I have to send my check to Sallie Mae, lol!
IMHO, I think that professors should be required to join the real world workforce after a certain number of years of being strictly academic so that they can relate to students as real people with lives and responsibilities.
Just grin and bear it - it will be over soon :) Even I survived ;)
{hugs}
Belle

That is IF you are lucky enough to even have a professor these days with all the classes being taught by their aides.

I completely understand. When I went back to college, I had two jobs. I was taking 19 hours my last semester and it almost killed me. In all honesty, it was the hardest thing I'd ever done.
BTW, I admire you. I know I don't have enough self-discipline to do the internet classes. Good luck! |

You can say that again! Some of them got pretty clueless when I asked them some questions. Yikes! |

I hated school too. Swore if I ever got out, I'd never go back and I haven't either. Master's Degree? Not for me.
Ph. D.? Nope. As a good friend of mine likes to say, "You know, you really can know too much!" |

I feel your pain, Shel!
I just started a nursing degree program and have two kids, and there is never enough time!
Lucky for me, though, the staff seem genuinely interested and supportive.
In fact, I'm taking a study break as I type... ;)
On the plus side, I have summers off, except for that pesky job o' mine. *sigh*
