My step mom finally came out of surgery around 6:30 p.m. last night and everything went fine. Her blood pressure fell a little but they are not worried about it now. She is in a lot of pain but she is going to be okay as far as we know. They still haven't been able to tell us what the spots on her liver and lymph nodes are but they say that they want to do another MRI to find out but it will be awhile before they do that. They want her to recover a little from all this first. She is very upset about the bag but we are hoping that she will learn to cope with it soon. They aren't talking about Chemo or anything yet so I guess that is part of the waiting game for now.
Sorry I didn't check in again last night but they didn't bring her to her room until almost 9 and by the time I got home from the hospital, I was exhausted and had a killer headache so I just went to bed. I appreciate everyone's thoughts and prayers and I know in my heart that all of them are what helped her to get through the surgery with very little complications. Please continue to keep her in your thoughts throughout her recovery if you don't mind.
Again thank you all soooooo much. You will never know how much your support has helped me deal with this for the last couple of days.

I am glad the surgery went so well, Leslie.
It will take some time for her to adjust, but it would appear to me that she has a super support system.
I will keep you all in my dailys.

Leslie, I often light candles while I am here at home to help remind me to send a "prayer arrow" up whenever I look at them. So what's your favorite - I've got orange, vanilla, spice, lavender, and patchouli. Oh, heck, I'll light them all!
