I just bought the DVD on Saturday! I love the extras that come with DVDs. The footage of the premier, the little factoids about the productions...I'm liking the Peter Pan DVD too. Did anyone reserve their copies of Monsters INc and Beauty and the Beast special edition? The vouchers are burning a hole in my wallet!

Mary Poppins is, by far, my most favorite movie in the entire universe. It always makes me feel good!!!

Not only that, but if you think about it, she is truly the only really strong woman type that never needed a rescue from the male lead, in all of Disney's films. She's quite the role model for young girls. Even Mulan, after going and doing the "guy thing" saving her nation, they just had to write it so she "got the guy" in the end.
Mary Poppins rocks!

Crank.....Julie Andrews is so wonderful! I love her! My second favorite movie to Mary Poppins is the Sound of Music.
You really are a big sweetie, aren't you?
Francine, who is REALLY starting to love Crank!

That is her daughter....(oh! help me out here folks) with whom she has co-written several childrens books.
AND before somebody mentions it, YES it was a bit chilly that day.

Here's a topic I know very well. My 3 year old daughter has been watching Mary Poppins EVERY DAY since January. She loves it...in fact..she carries around an umbrella. We were at the pool the other day and she saw some birds ..ran after them all the while her two fingers out trying to hold them like Mary Poppins does. It was too cute...she didn't understand why they wouldn't come onto her fingers! And no matter how many times she watches it...she cries at the end when Mary flies away. We will be "meeting" Mary in 19 days...and she wants to know if Michael and Jane will be there too. Thanks for listening! |

Cara,
Make sure you take her to the UK pavillion in Epcot where there is a little section that's made to look like a London town square. There's a little hedge maze for the kids to run through, and if you are lucky the bench with the shade tree will be available to sit and rest. Sometimes we pretend that Michael and Jane live in one of the houses, and sometimes we pretend that Wendy, Michael and John live there, and we wait for Peter Pan to come creeping along the roof!

Tink....
Thanks for the tip! We will do just that. I don't think in my 15+ visits i've ever done all the countries. This trip though we are taking time to smell the roses...and run through mazes it sounds like!
She just saw Peter Pan last week for the first time and LOVED that too!
