Lunarlady OK, I'm not all hung up on cats. I'd love to have a dog, but I'm never home.

Mom's Schnauzer.

Old B/F's dog. This dog NEVER stopped moving. I couldn't get a half-way decent pic of him, but I loved how this one expressed his face and how he kept moving.

I can't believe I'm sitting here looking at your Mom's Schnauzer...

Lunarlady Neither can I, Crank. Why? You thinking about getting one or you thinking about debasing the picture of my Mom's new child now that her others have grown up?

LOL! No, no, no! I would never get between a woman and her schnauzer!

Sadly my Mom had to put Einstein down last friday. He'd been such a member of the family that he had worked his name into the kids' "roll call" when Mom got mad. He was a 14 year-old cocker spaniel.

I'll miss old Steiny...

Luckily my Dad surprised her about two weeks ago:

As you can tell, Topper has it really tough on the ranch...

The big one's my Dad...

Lunarlady Awwwww.....he's even got his own umbrella!!!

How cute! He looks like a Boxer, though. Is he? I'm sorry to hear about Einstein. I'm sure your mom was glad to have him around after all the kids left the next and it must have been hard for her to have to put him down. :(

Yes, Topper is quite spoiled! If and when I pass, I want to come back as my Parents' pet! Topper was even in a parade!

When my youngest brother went off to college my Mom took it pretty hard. She did have a small terrier (Chico) and things were fine for many years until, one day, she accidently ran over him. *This* was a really bad time for my family et al.

She swore off pets for awhile until she adopted Steiner from my 2nd youngest brother who was living where pets were not allowed. That was a godsend!

I know only too well about pets being part of the family. They are one of the blessings that too many take for granted.

I meant no disrespect to your Mom...this is not the first time my *humor* has gotten me into hot water:eek:

Mea Culpa...

Lunarlady hee hee hee....no disrespect intended. I was just wondering what you were gonna do to him, that's all! Waiting with bated breath so to speak.
