I was feeling bad about things in general last night when I got home from work. Life has been what you might call extra challenging in regard to keeping my happy face on lately.
When I sat down to check my email, I found some incredibly kind words from an internet friend who though we've not yet met, I've grown to respect and who's opinion matters to me. The timing could not have been more perfect.
Many of you know another obsession of mine is my gardens. This year's project has been roses. While we put a few in about 3 years ago and over all they've done quite well, there is one particular rose that just doesn't seem to want to perform as I've read it should for whatever reason, though it keeps on trying despite just about any and every possible form of adversity.
It's part of a series of roses consisting of 3. The other two are Love-a beautiful Red, Cherish-a pinky-salmon and this one which after some reflection on it today I think has demonstrated it's name quite well. It fights through even the most adverse conditions and though it's not the most showy bush in the garden, when it blooms it shines with a pure white light, a subtle pleasant scent, and perfect form.

Rose shots also make great ideas for sending personal greeting cards without having your receiver have to go through a third party. Here's some shots that I think you might like. Feel free to copy them for your own personal use.
