OK gang, I really did try to do what was on the agenda for today, that being stick patrol and mowing. Stick patrol = we had a wind storm last week, we have a lot of trees, sticks fall out of trees and need to be stacked for firewood before mowing can occur. Alas, this being the Isle of Lawng, we have huge, bloodthirsty mosquitos that have been just waiting out the cooler weather, hybernating in some suspended state of animation, or perhaps cryogenically preserved along with Walt somewhere in the Utilidors. Even large quantities of OFF! Skintastic contaminating my epidermis did nothing to hold back the onslaught. I return to the house defeated and itchy. I guess it is time to work on my homework. |

So That's where all our mosquitos went!
We have terrific little bats around her that eat their weight in mosquitos, spareing us humans the itchy bumpies.
Get a bat house! |
