Francine It is one of the best times of year for me! the Big E starts tomorrow, and I am sooo excited!

Here is a link, so you can see what it is about. The Big E

We live just over the bridge from the fairgrounds, and can actually hear things from our house. Tonight they lit the flood lights, and, yes sir, I can feel the fun in the air. We went down today, to get our pictures taken for our passes. I loved walking around watching things get set up.

There was a horse jumping competition going in the Colliseum, where the pictures are taken. The competitions start two days before the fair. We go to a lot of them, as they make for a nice break, to rest, when you get tired from all the walking.

We will surely have lots of time to enjoy everything this year, with Tim retired. I am looking forward to the two of us having some enjoyable afternoons at the Big E.

To give you and idea of what we will see, and do there, here is a list of the different special features. Things to Do and See at the Big E

Also, take a look at the different shows we have the chance to see! Big E Events

Mari will be marching in one of the parades, on Agawam Day, with the Agawam High School Cheerleaders. Cool beans, yes?

So, I will be sharing the fun with you, as we experience it!

WOW! That's unbelievable. I though from your post it would be like a county fair. Those are fun, but this looks like EPCOT on crack. My DH wants to know how long it last? Okay, Okay, I'll make that a truck load of Godiva if I can come. (Looks at map) That's a long ride in a truck! If I wasn't all the way down here in Houston (Heavy sigh)And if I had a truck. Well.. Well.. okay keep me posted though.

LOL!! I loved that...Epcot on crack!

It is pretty cool, and there is a street called the Avenue of States. It has a building for each state in New England, and you can find lots of interesting things from each state. There is some real good food there! Maine is famous for the Maine baked potato....real yummy! Rhode Island has delicous blueberry pie, and clam fritters. Oh gosh, I could go on, but it is making me hungry.

The Big E lasts 17 days. Come on up!!

I would like to see how much it has changed in 31 yrs...sigh...I can't beleive I just typed that...I had to stare at it a few minutes...31 yrs...my goodness that seems scary...I still feel like a kid and ...and....waaahhhh...31 years?,,,,sheesh now I'm depressed.

Francine Oh my, and how it has changed! It is huge now, and runs for 17 days. I promise a report on it soon. I got some good pictures last night, and will get more this weekend.

Life has been a little hectic the last couple of days, but I hope to get started on the report this weekend.
