Okie dokie...I swear I posted this yesterday but it's not here. Shoot, I hope I wasn't on another site and posted.
Anyway, I got botox yesterday! Very scary having those shots in your head, it didn't hurt but a little sting...it was just the wierdness of having a needle that close to your eyes.
I wanted a full facelift but can't stomach paying out that amount of money so went for a cheaper alternative. The doctor now wants to do some collogen(?SP) on some lines by my mouth. Thinking that one over. So far, I don't see any results but on the research I've done and this doctor saying, the results don't show up for 3-4 days. She told me she put in a few extra shots above my eyebrows to give them a better arch. She said I may wake up one morning looking like Mr. Spock with the eyebrow going way up but it would only last one day LOL I hope so!!!! I'm going on a date next weekend with this wonderful guy and I'm positive looking like Mr Spock would be a minus in his book! : )
Since I had it done and told a few people I've found that lots of women and some men were thinking about having it done but never said anything. So, I thought I'd post it if anyone has any questions. I've decided at the age of 45 I'm not embarrassed about telling anyone what I've had done any longer.

Brave brave. I just watched a show on that yesterday. YIKES!!! You'll have to let us know if the results are what you were seeking.

It honestly didn't hurt more than a little pinch for a second while she was doing the shot. It was just freaky so close to the eyes. I had between the eyebrows done and the crows feet on the outside of the eyes. My 2 vertical lines on the top of my nose are still there but diminished 75% The doctor thought that might happen since they were so deep so in 2 weeks I have my return appointment and she's going to do a few more shots, no charge. She also did one right at the arch of my eyebrow to lift the arch some and that looks good. I elected not to do my forehead at this time. Figured for $200 I could cover it with my bangs!
I'm 45 and I've been asked 3 times now if I wanted the senior coffee so I needed to do something. If I'd known before spending all the income tax money that a face lift and eyelid lift was only 6K, I would have done that. I thought they ran around 15K.

I go back tomorrow to get 4 more shots in the area between the nose. She scheduled another appointment because she was sure the lines were so deep she'd have to do some more later LOL I'll let you know if I survive!

Well botox is fine, men stink!! (well, ok not all men)
I did end up getting two more shots between the nose area. It's a little swollen right now but hopefully this will be it for 3 more months. It doesn't really hurt, it's a pinch but it is scary.
