Baby Andy is back in the hospital next week. A hernia popped up, and I mean popped up, and it needs to be fixed soon. This will be his fourth, and let's hope, final surgery. I think he will be fine, but you never want to leave your kid in a hospital. I had to do it (already) for 106 days.

I was named to the board of the local March of Dimes. I will be advancing the causes of preemies and their parents this year, and I hope you will all consider donating to the March of Dimes. It's worth every penny, it's worth every dime.

That's one tough little dude you have there. Hang in there, and before you know it you'll be holding his hand walking down Main Street.

I wonder what inspired this new Disney T-shirt? "I'm right. You're wrong. Any Questions?"

Poor little guy. I hope he's better and home soon.

Andy made it through the hernia surgery well, and they did remove the birthmark (a mean one called a hemangioma) from his hip/diaper line. It was starting to bleed and was really big and needed to come off. They also did his follow-up eye test for ROP, and found (after his initial surgeries) his retina still starting to detach in his left eye, and the evendence that his right eye is not far behind. He will need additional surgery for his eyes within the next 10 to 14 days. Andy is resting comfortably at the hospital. Mom and Dad are at home. We should be able to take him home tomorrow.
