My son just won a $3,500 scholorship renewable for four years for a total of $14,000 BIG ONES!
I am SO proud of him!!!!!
This is the first one he applied for too! This will pay for about 2/3rds of one year and believe me it ALL helps!
Did I mention how proud of Him I am?!!!!!!!!!

Oh! I guess it would be considered "general". It's directly from the University. He took the letter with him so I don't have the details in front of me. It's not academically based as he comes in with a whopping 2.8 grade point average. He will have to maintain passing grades to get the full benefit of the 14gs and agrees to be a part of some school organization, but he has toured the school and knows a lot about the group and wanted to participate anyway. It was one he applied for that most of the consideration was placed on interviews with his teachers and employers.

try to explain it better. He's on CLOUD NINE and is
calling everybody and I'm sure is now out showing
anybody that will listen his letter!

Well, make sure you tell him that we're proud of him as well! I hope he can get other scholarships in addition that will pay for ALL of his schooling!
