Posted 01-16-03 03:10 PM If you are looking for an excellent photo manipulation program, may I suggest Photoshop Elements 2.0. While I love Photoshop (I've been using it for 9 or 10 years), a majority of the things a photographer would do to a photo is available in Photoshop Elements. Since PE is $$99 before rebates, and Photoshop 7.0 is aroung $579, you can see the price alone makes it compelling. I do believe there is a demo of PE up on the Adobe site. Dad Extraordinaire

Adobe products!!!
Yup, that's the program I'm currently hating on my sister's computer. She has some downloaded edition that I can't seem to make heads or tails of.
But it probably works well for others!
**edited to add: for the record...she loves it!***

Posted 01-16-03 06:33 PM I just bought this software, Robb. In fact it came today. I am working on figuring out how to use it, and so far I like it.

You wouldn't happen to know where I can find a tutorial?

Well, under the "help" menu, there are online tutorials from Adobe.
There is a great book: Photoshop Elements 2 Solutions: The Art of Digital Photography by Mikkel Aaland
I would suggest buying that if you are looking for a good overall resource. Dad Extraordinaire

Posted 01-17-03 09:17 AM I am finding some help with the manual that came with the software. I have heard the book Robb is talking about is very helpful.
Also, in the upper right hand corner of the screen, when the software is open, there are a couple of options. One is 'How To' and one is 'Hints'.
