Hey everybody!
I GOT THE JOB!!! 
Thank you all for your good wishes, thoughts, dust
and anything else you threw at me. They interviewed
me for about 10 minutes and offered it to me on the
spot, I am so thrilled. The office is very corporate
and in a great location (not downtown, whew!). The
partners are great - one is an self-proclaimed hippie
and proud, the staff are very down to earth and the
work will suit me just fine. They even asked when
I wanted to work, so I was able to fit my day
around DD's school schedule and everything. I am taking
this as a very positive sign 
Thank you all again for your encouragement and support
- it makes these tough times so much easier

Now, for step 2 of the new and improved me: off to sign up for some computer classes...

I am really
thrilled, and I hope things keep looking up from here.
As for computer classes - probably Excel and Access
to brush up my software skills (I learned the DOS
versions!). Then into some web development and basic
hardware stuff. DH always took care of all that end
of things, I'd just plug in my laptop and type/surf.
Now I need to learn how to do it for myself. That's
a good thing though - I need to learn to depend on
myself
My first day is Jan 6, so I'll let you know how that
goes... maybe I'll get a 5x5 cubicle to call my own
I won't hold
my breath though, lol!

Boy, I am glad I didn't post any good wishes. I have been bad luck lately...
