Posted 12-16-02 08:14 PM Final exams are HISTORY! GONE! YIPPEEEEE!
Now if I could only ditch The Job That Ate My Life, the holiday season would be complete.
Anyone else here doing school and working full time simultaneously?

Posted 12-16-02 08:57 PM My hat is off to you Tink. That is indeed a very hard thing to do. How are your grades?

Peggo,
I have a 3.943 grade point average, not including this semester. And yes, I go to "that" school, the one that's sitting in my front yard! It's fun to be able to walk to and from school, just like when I was a little kid walking to elementary school.
The sad thing is, because I have The Job That Ate My Life, I've had to cut back until I am now only able to handle one course per semester, which means graduation has been pushed out a couple of times. I'm currently anticipating that in June of 2006, and then it's on to grad school. Got one all picked out...in Tampa!

Thanks, Ahnalira. It was the kind of exam that you whiz through, and then you think something is wrong because it seemed too easy. I actually sat there and did the whole thing over again! But ended up not changing any answers at all.
Next semester is Behavior Modification - what fun! - with my favorite professor, the cantakerous one that everyone else hates. Me, I chose him for my faculty advisor! I discovered that he likes it when a student argues back.

Posted 12-16-02 11:18 PM That wouldn't be Dr. G, would it Tink?
I know that school well. I know the Burser personally. ...Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily...life is but a dream

Nope, Dr. Y! I was just in the Bursar's office this evening, paying tuition for next semester. Can you get me a discount? Tink *~*~*

Posted 12-17-02 12:10 AM Tink, you're nuts!!!
I know this because I did it too during my apprenticeship. College courses, work full time plus OT and the family thang. Then silly me, I got preggers for my youngest then too. I can honestly say this mode of getting through life is crazy!!! But then hind-sight is 20/20.

Ooh, I LOVE
Behavior Mod, Tink
...especially as it branches into Cognitive therapies.
Most of my BA was done at a school that focused on
Behavior Modification techniques and, even though
I focused on Jungian Process in my graduate work and
ensuing practice, it's the behavior mod that always
proves itself infallible; >)

Posted 12-17-02 09:04 PM Ahnalira, I'm going to be heading into I/O (industrial/organizational psychology). When I'm too old to work in corporate HR, I will respecialize in counseling and work with the Wall Street unglued population.
I put a few Maslow books on my amazon wish list. I peeked in there the other day and saw two of them have been purchased! Also purchased were that little book on Stonehenge and the one about reflections of a Druid priestess through the seasons. I feel so lucky - a whole month and a half off from school and good books coming my way! Tink *~*~*
