How do you make avatars out of pictures? And, when you have an avatar that isn't quite the right size, how do you get it to be the right size?

As you can see, I found this very cool Mary Poppins avatar, but it doesn't look right....so any help would be appreciated.

Well, I changed my avatar, but as soon as I learn how to fix that cool Mary Poppins one, I am going back to that. Desserts work for now, though!

Okay....add this one to the list of avatars I want to resize.....It looks a lot more delicious like this:

I posted this in the other thread about my keyboard but you didn't see it....you have used the thumbnail properties...you have to click on the thumbnail to open the pic and then right click to get url from properties.
using the thumnail properties causes to much distortion because it's not the full size pic/avatar
