I've got Nortons Internet Security am wondering if there's a way to test it, to see if it's working?
I'm also not sure if it's even necessary. I was able to get it installed without a glitch so that was a good thing...just not sure though, what it's DOING. LOL

Just an update...I think I'm figuring it out slowly but surely.
After I got the Trojan Horse notice I went in and did some heavy duty digging around. *shiver and shake!*
I found the areas where ALL the statistics are located for Nortons, I discovered how to track where the attack was coming from and a few details about it such as it had tried to get in 6 times...

Still no clue though as to whether I can actually test the system, but perhaps that's a moot point now.

When I installed this version I kept getting messages that said "If you have windows XP...warning" warnings...so maybe that freaked me out initially, but all has been fine so far.

Just babbling to let ya know my 'puter is still alive and running.........

NIS does an excellent job. Spend some time to really get to know the program. You'll need to know how to clear the "invalid checksum" error anyway.

Invalid Checksum?

Now, either you're laughing AT me here or with me...which is it? What the HECK??? LOL LOL

*I'll invalidate YOUR checksum, young man..just wait till I get my hands on YOU!* LOL

I'm on my sisters computer right now, so let's hope nothing tries to invade HER weak system. I've NEVER seen a computer so neglected in all my life and she won't let me touch a thing! It says it hasn't been defragged in 355 days! Oh well, it's not MY worry.
(we're talking ZERO disk space left and it's full of old files and garbage. i don't believe she's ever deleted her WASTE basket here!!! incredible..just amazing...)
