Posted 01-05-03 09:34 PM Continued wandering, and found myself going down a 'street' of soundstages. Toward the end there were CM's manning a checkpoint. I saw an interesting building about a block passed the checkpoint so I asked a CM. Found out it was the elusive parking area. The Zorro Parking Garage. (Ya gotta love how the name things.) Had I driven all the way around the Studio I might have found it. Duh. I thought one side of the property was border by the freeway. Wrong! Another thing to remember for next year.
Well, I'd run out of places to wander, so I headed over for the craft's fair. Lots of large Christmas decorations, soaps, candles and bead jewelry. Sigh...nothing for me. I did end up with an inexpensive Betty Boop Christmas nightshirt (for $10 I can always use another). As I wandered around I heard my name being called. Nope...it wasn't the Feds come to drag me away. It was a woman from where I work. Chatting with her, I found out she'd put a post up in our lunchroom about the Faire. Arggghhh! All that searching I'd done online for info, and I must have walked past that bulletin board at least a half dozen times without looking. And here I thought 'everyone' at work knew about my Disney obsession. I guess I must have missed a few. Sheesh.
By about 3PM I was tired, and decided to start the long walk back to the car. I pulled out my camera one last time, and took pictures of the hidden Mickeys that decorate the Studio's fence. Tried to get some nice closeups of the Seven Dwarfs at the top of the Team Disney Building. There was a damn tree blocking my view. Grrr. Took a few 'artsy' shots of the building, and crossed the street to get a nice clear shot of the main gate and headed home.
Here are the photos:

I wonder what inspired this new Disney T-shirt? "I'm right. You're wrong. Any Questions?"

Posted 01-06-03 04:43 AM Gosh, I wish Burbank weren't so far away! The Holiday Craft Faire really sounds like fun, and now I see where the clock came from -- California. Might be worth the trip if I thought I could bring one home.
I really enjoyed your pictures, especially the artsy ones. The detail is wonderful, isn't it?
