Cast: Cast for the Journey: John, 42, Old Widowed Man, pushing trip 20 at WDW, DVC member. John the Smaller, 9, now at trip 16.

Resorts: Saturday 12/21: Four Points Lakeside.
12/22-29: Old Key West, Studio

Weather: Well, a perfect day for touring WDW if in fact you happen to be some sort of marine creature or water fowl.

Pet Peeve of the Day: Donald's Breakfastosaurus. Chaotic, Disorganized. Not at all a good experience from even before we entered the park. Walked out within 10 minutes of walking in. Never, ever again.

Hello again all you Disney fans. Today was Animal Kingdom day. Still not a full-day park for us. In fact, not even close. We arrived early for our Breakfastosaurus PS( See Above), and had quite an enjoyable morning. We rode the safari around 8:45 and saw many animals. In fact, the lions were up close, and the Cheetah was quite visible as well. We left Africa for Dinoland. I know some find it a bit too "Campy" for WDW, but my son loves it. Seems most kids do. Oh well. We rode Dinosaur in virtually a walk-on. We then moved back over to ride Primevil Whirl(Makes me Wanna Hurl). One side had just had a maintenance shut down, so the line was a bit sluggish. No problems though. We took time to play one of the "Carnival" games, and won a dinosaur. Next we took a ride on Dino Dumbo, picked up a fast pass for Dinosaur, finally rode Primevil Whirl, then Dinosaur again. We picked up a FP for Primevil whirl then were off to lunch at Flame Tree. We had a great lunch while sitting down by the water, then were on our way to Primevil Whirl. This time we spun, and spun, and spun. Not sure why, but from the first spin until the end of the ride, we were in the Whirl mode. YUCK!! We hit It's Tough to be a Bug before leaving, and headed out as the storms hit. We had our Banana Mickey Panchos, but were still soaked when we got to the car.

We headed back to OKW for a break and to prepare for the evening. At 5:00 we left for the Polynesian where we would meet Mary and her friends for dinner at O'Hana. When we opened our door, there was a gift bag with candy in it from the resort. Very nice. Mary arrived right on time, and we were seated very quickly. John and I had never eaten there. We both enjoyed it greatly, though Smaller was more in the spirit as he participated in the Coconut race and the Hula Hooping. I only participated in the eating. John spent alot of time the day after doing his "Hang Loose" hand symbols. I enjoyed meeting Mary and swapping online war stories and thoughts. We laughed quite a bit. After dinner we went down to the dock to see about the cruise. The weather was pretty threatening, so we weren't thinking the cruise would happen. At the point we asked, the answer was still, "Yes." We decided to wait out at the MK boat dock. While there, "The weather started getting rough. The tiny ship was tossed...Almost literally." We made tracks back to the restaurant, and once again I we were soaked. I went and got the car, and drove Mary and company back to Port Orleans Riverside. Mary played Santa for us. She brought John a pin from here community, a magnet, a Northwestern T-shirt, and Northwestern Sweatshirt. She had seen trip pics earlier, and it seems than my son wears only Texas A and M shirts. Mary thought he needed a new shirt. =0) She brought a Northwestern Medical School hat for me. LOL...Now I can at least appear to be really smart. THANKS MARY...It was fun. We will keep an eye out for you guys.

We assumed the cruise cancelled, so were off to our hotel. John and I stopped in at Olivia's and had a snack. After we went to the store to do a bit of last, last minute shopping. John wanted to get something for me with his money. I had orders to stay on one side of the store facing one direction. He did his shopping, then I did the same for him. We were back at the room by 10:00, and off to bed...actually I attempted to write and post then, but lost it...UGH!! So, here it is.

Day 6- Merry Christmas...15 hours at Epcot...Yowz!!
