Cast: Cast for the Journey: John, 42, Old Widowed Man, pushing trip 20
at WDW, DVC member. John the Smaller, 9, now at trip 16.

Resorts: Saturday 12/21: Four Points Lakeside.
12/22-29: Old Key West, Studio

Weather: Another perfect day for touring WDW!!

Pet Peeve of the Day: You know, when you are at a show, say, Timekeeper, and you're trying to listen, and someones kid is screaming bloody murder, and they just stand there and do nothing about it, oh, say, take the kid out??

'Twas an early day. We were on the bus at 7:15, and walking down Main Street at the Magic Kingdom by 7:35. Upon entering the park we gathered the first of many autographs. Many others have mentioned the increase in characters at MK. They are everywhere. No, literally, everywhere. We saw Cruella, Fairy Godmother, Alice, Mad Hatter, Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, Bert, Malificent, Jafar, the Penguins from Mary Poppins, the Country Bears, Max and Goofy, the Snow Queen, and Buzz Lightyear. More than that I am sure, but cannot remember who.

As we walked down Main Street we noticed that the park was already open. Apparently MK has been opening at 7:30 everyday this week. 7:00 on Extra Magic Hour days. We made a right turn into Tomorrowland, and went to pick Fast Passes for Buzz. The CM t Fast Pass gave us 2 so we could use our tickets to get others. I then grabbed a bagel while John rode Astro Orbiter. I needed something in my stomach before Space Mountain. When John came back down to Earth, we walked on Space Mountain. Had Fast Passes, but didn't need them for our second trip. We then rode Buzz twice(I scored my record 129,000 points.) Next we rode Tomorrowland Speedway. John remains frightening behind the wheel. Only 6 years until learner's permit. YIKES!! Next we greeted a few characters and rode Mad Hatter's Tea Party. Smaller rode in his own cup as he loves to spin. I choose to take the ride with as little spin as possible. After Tea Party we went back to Toon Town. John rode Goofys Barnstormer twice while I chatted with a couple of CMs at the bottom. After Character barn and Mickey and Minnie's houses we went to Fantasyland. While there we met the Penguins, picked up Fast Passes for Peter Pan, had lunch at Pinocchios, then rode Peter Pan which John was calling, "PP." The question, "Is it time for PP?" threw me off for a bit. He had to explain it to me. As we passed the hour long line at Peter Pan and walked onto the ride, we received several ugly stares. HEY!!! You got a ticket to get in?? OKAY!! Then you, too can have a Fast Pass. DUH!! We left Fantasyland and rode Haunted Mansion. John is afraid of the Zombies that jump up from behind the tombstones. I sure hope he grows out of it someday. Oh Well.

We left MK at this point, and went to our room to take a break. "WHAT!! Take a break at the busiest time of year??" YUP!! You see, if you go to the parks 15-30 minutes before posted opening, they stay fairly managable until around noon. You get alot done, then you can bale out and take it easy for a bit.

Before dinner we picked up Fast Passes for Rock'n Roller Coaster. As we were making our way to Prime Time, the street performers were starting a show. They were doing "99 of something went into a bar." One of the audience suggestions was "Reindeer Repelant." Strange. Smaller said he would have done, "99 reindeer repelants went into a bar. The bartender, named Dolph(He got that part from the performers) says, we don't serve reindeer repelants in this bar, The reindeer say, we're just looking for "Ru-Dolph." We heard he was already lit." Okay...I thought it was funny. Please forgive my parental moment. It was time for our PS, so off we went. Our server was excellent, but we didn't get to play very much. I love Prime Time, but we get left our of the fun alot. Such is the life of a "Party of 2." John had Chicken nuggets, and I had Salmon. The fish and veggies were wonderful. Highly recommended. After dinner we went to "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, Play It." I was 3 on the board when it was time to fill the hot seat...Bummer. Also watching the show was Paige from Trading Spaces. Ewwww...a Celebrity sighting. She was pretty mobbed at the end of the show. I felt sorry for her. Let her enjoy WDW, dang it!! We then made a trip through the Osbourne Lights, but it was quick as we were nearing the end of our Fast Pass time. We took our ride in RnRC, then left for a bit of time at the Boardwalk. BW is our home DVC resort, but we have never stayed there. John loved it, and now thinks we should.

We were back in the room by 9:30. John listened to a couple of stories on the TV, then had his bath and went to bed. I attempted to write my report, but somehow deleted it twice. I gave up and watched a bit of TV.

Day 5- Animal Kingdom, Dinner at O'hana, and MK Fireworks Cruise with Mary from RADP and Common Ground.
