it pours. I think my venting the other day about the insurance was just an accumulation of things. Have you ever noticed when you get something crappy in the mail there is usually more. It's like they all plan it to come at once and especially right after the holidays.

In addition to the whopping $4 doctor bill that they want to drop me as a patient for LOL I get a $592 bill from Franchise Tax Board in California from 1997.
1997 it was $70 and now it's $592 with interest LOL
They are willing to reduce it to 300 if my husband calls LOL
They better consider wiping it clean as it was paid back in 97. We weren't married yet when we moved here to OK. I guess my soon to be ex owed $70 in CA state taxes because of an addition error, we didn't find out until he tried to buy this house. When he was buying this house, the VA wanted the back tax paid so the real estate agent when getting the loans, paid the back tax to wipe it clean so VA would let him buy the house. Just a PITA! The worst part is, I may have thrown all the stuff away a few days ago when I went on a cleaning drawer frenzy. It's been 5 years and no notices.
I don't know if anyone else has ever had one of those days where you feel like you open your mailbox and hands are just sticking out for money LOL
I did go on a rampage here....$100 for a phone and that doesn't include long distance??? Yelling at my son, I use to pay $25 a month for the phone, we are cutting out call waiting, caller ID, the computer line, people can get ringing if we are on the computer etc etc....his response is....we aren't getting rid of the cartoon channel are we?
LOL And of course he gets...in my day I had ABC,NBC and CBS and that was it! Poor kid, I'm sure one day he's going to hear from me...I had to walk a mile in the snow to get to school LOL Kinda hard when I lived in sunny CA where it didn't snow but it did flood so maybe I could say I waded knee deep in muddy water???? I'm in a better mood now. Sometimes you just gotta vent. Oh, someone that I don't know IM'd me and asked me if I went to the gym today scary!!!!!! |

We become addicted to said computers and internet.
Now God's smoking something and saying, "Watch this" to whomever is listening.
Then you get an IM from some stranger asking if you've been to the gym today.

I can go with the uphill in the snow since we are suppose to get some Wednesday.
I asked the only person that I think knows I go to the gym on Mondays and he said it wasn't him. Hmmmmmmm
One bright spot, our satelite went out, came back on in one room but not the other so I call and call, busy busy, get through, put in my phone number and they have no record of my account. She told me that someone got into their computers, my other satelite did come on but they have no idea if I've paid for the month or not along with a lot of other people LOL
So what does one do? I bought 2 half gallons of double chocolate fudge frozen yogurt from the Schwann's guy when he showed up tonight.

I have had one of those weeks.
Major migraine, son with a double ear infection and running a fever of 104 , I have not slept since friday and last night my 9 year old went snowboarding and wiped out . He was knocked out and had to be rushed to the emerency room for a CAT Scan and x-rays of the back, He has a concussion(sp) and severe back trauma. The worst part was I was not there my husband was and he does not do well in crisis. He forgot our son's birthday, didn't have the insurance card and forgot who his doctor was . He could not reach me on his cell phone as it kept cutting out so when after answering the phone 15 times in 6 minutes I finally answered and told him if he was not there I was hanging up and not answering again, At which point he said fine I guess you don't care that Adam is in the hospital( I felt like s**t) and like a bad mom and all the guilt just got to me and I cried for about 2 hours until they got home and I could hold my little boy. He is very sore and has a killer head ache today but it could have been a lot worse and I than k god that he took care of my little guy. ok now I to have joined the ranks of the ranters and I feel so much better!

I'm glad your son is OK. I'm having a bad couple of days as well. Depression. Headaches. Whatta waste of a life, eh?
However, I'm finding if I turn off the damn computer and at least TRY to make a semblence doing something, I feel a little better. Although this headache will probably make me lie down sooner or later and wait to die.
Looking at pics on the Supercali.... board helps some. I love seeing other people's pets and houses and that cheers me up somewhat. Just a suggestion that it might help y'all too. |

Kelly, I hope your son is feeling better real quick. I am sure the hospital told him no horsing around for at least a week. He should be careful not to put himself at risk of another concussion in that time period. I just went through the concussion thing with Mari. I think the worst part was keeping her from doing things that could put her at risk.
Headaches suck. Period. I get migraines, and I hate them. I hope LL and Kelly's headaches go away real quick.

I know he's not feeling well as he is being very good and nice hehehe. I hope Mari is doing better . My migraine has earned me a trip to the Dr. tomorrow morning.

So sorry to hear about the headaches. I've had it for the past five days and it was very crippling--it didn't let up and I hated that throbbing feeling--it wasn't a normal headache...just that endless pounding and pounding and I couldn't stand the lights. It made it worse.
Saw the doc and he said that it was caused by a virus that is similar to a sinus cold and put me on low dose of anti-depressant to ease the migraines. He said that it'll take about a month to go away completely so see the doctor ASAP to rule out any serious disorders---I thought my headaches were from the implant and it wasn't--- and give yourself some time to get better.
Kelly--I hope your son will recover without any serious side effects of the accident. LL---take it easy and don't let the cat bite you again.
Take care and we all get better from those horrible headaches, I'll drop a water balloon on both on you on the ship. |

The funny thing is I have never had a migraineuntil my last pregnancy at which time I develpoed them now that I am no longer pregnant they have not gone away at times the even seem worse now go figure that one! |

I hear that pregnancy will help cure really bad menstrual cramps, but I'm not willing to have a baby to find out if that's actually true. :eek:
BTW, that headache that was hanging on for a couple of days has FINALLY gone away tonite!!!! :D :D :D |

I wish mine would and I got bad news from the Dr. today he seems to think the headaches I am getting are as he called them "mini stroke like incidenes" so I am on 4 different kinds of med and am off for the next few days for a ton of testing...

Kelly, that is why you shouldn't mess with headaches. They are one of the symptoms of small strokes. I will keep you in my prayers. Be sure to let us know when you find out, okay?
