Go figure this would happen to me!
Months ago I signed up for the free thing on match.com where I met that guy I went out with and then he supposedly went back to his old girlfriend.
Anyway, all of a sudden the other day I start getting all these wierd emails off of the site.
Me and him had talked about our password on there over the months we talked.
Well, all of a sudden I start getting emails from women!
I had no idea what was going on until today when I looked and it got changed from female looking for male to female looking for female LOL
I got one today from a middle school gym teacher who said she could do some networking for me in the city???
Ah well.....life goes on! |

Nah, don't think so. I do like men but if anyone else doesn't, well I have emails I can pass along : )

I did but I do not belong to the site any longeer and my free thing is over so I can't email anyone even if I wanted to. |

I had that kinda happen to me (not the vicious changing of gender thing) where I didn't want to be a member of the board anymore, but kept getting inquireys. What I did was type up a standard answer (Thank you for replying, but I've found someone/not interested in this board anymore/decided to go to Ethiopia) and then kept it in word format. That way on the few occasions that someone DID reply to my email, I just c/p the form answer into the email address.
Sure enough, someone's going to get a little upset and ask why you're still advertising. You can either wait for these "upset" emails or you can explain right away that your free trial is up and you can't change your settings to reflect that you're no longer looking.
On the extreme end, I had something like that happen to (where I didn't want any more replies from a particular board) and I DID have the capability to change my specs. Still, there was this one couple who kept responding and responding dispite my telling them I wasn't interested. :rolleyes: Then it's time to get a little more agressive:
I blocked them on the board AND I "bounced" their emails through Outlook Express by setting up a rule for their email: it automatically forwarded any email they sent me right back to the email address it came from. After a few bounces, they got the message.
