Why embarassed for me? This is the direction that the the "Champion of The Common Ground" wanted to take this, so I am obliging him. |

Actually, Karma (and I'm tired so I might not be putting this well) I've often questioned how someone can be embarassed for someone else.
For example, I didn't make/do/perform something offensive, someone else did that. How can I possibly be embarassed for them when I have no control over their action?
This reminds me of a situation that happened about 6 years ago at another workplace: a man (who we all knew was a hothead) got up, threw his chair across the room, screamed at another co-worker about how overworked he was, and left the room slamming the door on his way out.
Then a totally innocent bystander co-worker (she had NOTHING to do with the incident) said she was so embarassed for him.
I didn't understand it then and I don't understand it now. Why would I want to take on an emotion that I had absolutely nothing to do with? I do enough embarassing things in my life, why would I want to be embarassed for another person?
Jes' some rambling thoughts I wanted to get out of my head before going to sleep. Thanks. |

Hmmm......I know that I embarrass myself at times, but I don't get embarrassed of others. (is this what you mean LL?) |

Well if the watchdog is going to want "take it outside" everyday, I doubt that's gonna happen until it's settled. |

LL I've always been this way.
I do get very embarrassed for other people. It's like sympathy pains or something and trust me it's not fun.
Pretty sure I've told the story before how as a kid, I felt for other children to the point that when THEY were teased or made fun of, I got sick to my stomach as if they were doing it to me. If someone says or does something embarrassing I feel that embarrassment too.
I know. It's weird. It's not real fun to feel other people's hurts, joys, pains, horrors. :( |

VanBrujah, this "house thug" routine may have been successful in intimidating and frightening people in the past, but you do not scare me in the least. So I wholeheartedly accept your challenge and we can settle this any time or place.
The italics are a nice touch.
I am not sure what this "house thug routine" is that you are referring to, but trust me on this: you would do well to be scared of me, were I to decide to take a special interest in you. Being afraid would probably be the smartest thing you could do. This is not a threat, just a little advice. I currently have no intention of taking any action against you, so there is no need for you to sleep with one eye open this evening.
The "do something about it" comment still stands, crybaby. If you feel I am rude, do something about it.
Otherwise, shut up.

Bring it on.
How about the Canal Park parking lot.
Or if you prefer something a little less public, I'm game for that too. |

No, no...if I decide to embarass you, it will be in public.

I'm so glad I'm a girl. I never have had to hear "OK buddy, that's it...let's take it outside" from another woman in my life.
I HAVE heard it from other men to each other and I can tell you that most of my friends (IRL) will take the opportunity of their dates fighting to either leave while they're busy for find other men to dance with.
We use to have what we called the hill tramps (both girls and boys). They use to go up on the hill to smoke and looked sleezy. (course the popular people who smoked hid in the bathroom). Anyway, it was the girls who use to call out other girls behind the backstop after school LOL
To VB for the above message, nothing offends me other than two certain words; c and tw words. |
