Karma During the holidays many people experience a wide array of emotions, sometimes the feelings and sensations rolling one after another.

What kinds of emotions did you have this year? Were they close in nature or were they worlds apart?

I went from fear, to worry, to extreme joy and elation, to feelings of total contentment and happiness and then back to sadness and concern...and sometimes all these within a 10 minute time frame. LOL

Did anyone else ride an emotional rollercoaster this Christmas?

Parker I went from contentment and safety, to a sense of worry and a feeling of dark forshadowing. Then there were intermixed feelings of lightness and heaviness and feelings of a total loss of control. At times I felt like screaming, but managed to maintain my composure. Finally, there was a sense of victory, peace and security.

And that was just during the Tower of Terror ride, you should hear what I went through on Rockin' Roller Coaster! :)

If that isn't the understatement of the year, lol! After all the emotion turmoil I have gone through at the end of 2002, I have decided to call 2003 the "Year of the B**ch" :D

I chose the name because 2003 is going to be all about ME for once. I know that the choices I make and things I do are bound to make others upset or angry because I am no longer going to be their doormat. Therefore I believe my "female assertiveness" may earn me the "B-word" title. I am looking out for good ol' #1 from now on - and of course, all in the best interest of my little DD. I can't possibly be a good role model if I am willing to passively take other peoples garbage and stuff my emotions inside. I need to set my path and follow it to true happiness within myself. Once I find my true self and become the best person I can be, then I can set out to share myself with others - on MY terms this time.

Look out world because the all new and much improved Belle is here kickin' and screamin' ;)

Here's an old one for you all...

"This will be the year of me, Al Franken. Ask yourself how the economy will affect me, Al Franken..."

Ah, Al Franken. Yes, a good one!

Actually for me, the emotional roller coaster seems to be a seasonal thing. When November hits I get more emotional. I just hate crying over Hallmark and Kodak commercials.
And then it really starts to get cold here. Yuck.
Everything seems so much better when those crocus poke through the snow.

Oh yes, the crocus! I always feel good when I see my first crocus pushing through the surface of the ground.

I most certainly have run a wide range of emotions this season. I think I am still bouncing around a little. The one thing I know for sure is this. It's all good! If I keep that in my heart, I can get through the ups and downs.

Yep, to see crocuses peek out from the snow is a glorious sight indeed! Sometimes just the thought of smelling or cutting fresh flowers gets me through a long winters day.

OK now I'm confused. I have crocus. I have many crocus. I have several crocuses.

What IS the plural of crocus? Croci? LOL
01-03-03 10:53 AM
Francine I guess the plural for crocus can be either way. Here is what I found:

quote:
Main Entry: cro·cus
Pronunciation: 'krO-k&s
Function: noun
Inflected Form(s): plural cro·cus·es
Etymology: Middle English, the saffron plant, from Latin, from Greek krokos, of Semitic origin; akin to Akkadian kurkAnu saffron
Date: 14th century
1 a plural also crocus or cro·ci /-"kE, -"kI, -"sI/ : any of a large genus (Crocus) of herbs of the iris family developing from corms and having solitary long-tubed flowers and slender linear leaves b : SAFFRON 1a
2 : a dark red ferric oxide used for polishing metals

Karma EEK I was joking about croci but I'm gonna go with that. It's just weird enough to bug people.

"My croci are blooming madly!"

*as strangers shoot evil looks at the crazywoman!*

LOL Thanks for looking it up for me. :)
