Don't forget, Jimmy, what we're doing here could save YOUR butt someday!

Some things are just plain WRONG no matter how you look at them.

We just refuse to take the fall for a psychotic on a PMS search and destroy mission...

Good catch, Robey.

Very informative site. We all would do well to spend some time there...

Lunarlady I'm out of the loop, guys. Is something new going on that I don't know about? I thought all that had died down (aside from the old info from November still being on the MA site).

TrpltJanie Robeeeeeeeyyyyyyy! (hugs Robey) Oh Thelma! Where have you been? I've been pretty much preoccupied with tons of things and got picked on by (points at everybody) THEM! They're soooooo meeeeeaaannn! Oh...don't mind LL being duct taped to the chair.....

Now tell me Thelma...how was Christmas for you? :)
12-31-02 06:31 PM
Robey Thanks for the "welcome back" guys!

Lots of family visited...Ohio and Georgia.
And to boot...an emergency root canal both days before Christmas (OUCH!) and I was sick with the flu for 2 weeks!
Recovered by christmas with lots of meds!

Anyways..catching up here...I see we have a few new friends! :) One of which sounds incredibly like Our pal, Den...wats up wid dat?

Janie...I promise to never abandon you again....:)

Jimmy.. don't know you but I have been reading your posts.
I don't know why you are here, it seems that you just like to jump on people for no reason. I could be wrong...still catching up. But I wanted to let you know that I posted this site because we have all been trying to protect ourselves, and the way it usually works is that once it calms down over here and we get back to normal stuff like stealing chocolate and dropping water balloons, a platoon shows up and starts trouble and we get right back into it. So this site is just to teach us more about what we can do to prevent it, or what to do about it when we can't.

Off to read all the Trip Reports (while turning green with envy that Ajax is at WDW with his mouth open!)

OH!
And by the way... I got a Card from my oldest that said he would take care of ONE expense to WDW! woohoo!!!!
Airfare is releatively cheap, so I will do that one.
I have an AP, so that is taken care of. So that leaves Hotel!!!! I am thinking Animal Kingdom (savannah)! I am thinking the Floridian is way to formal for my taste, but what do I know?

Any suggestions?

Peggo Welcome back, Robey. AKL looks so cool.
If I were going deluxe it would be there...or Wilderness Lodge.
I feel the same way about the Floridian. Too stuffy.

And there is nothing wrong with providing a link to what a cybercrime really is.

I'd have to second AKL. Wilderness Lodge is ok but when you're from the Pacific Northwest....

Ohhhh! Robey was at AKL? I just booked there for the end of this month! How was the transportation there? That's my only worry!

Nopes.

Just trying to choose where to stay.
(My son gave me it to me for christmas)
I have heard though that the transportation is lacking.

Transportation when we were there at the beginning of December worked like a charm. The bus loading is very conveniently placed by the hotel (just a short walk) and covered and signs for which buses go where are very handily displayed, imho:)

ronski that too funny. I'm a Florida native and absolutely love WL!! By the same token, neither CBR nor Poly hold an interest for me...

ronski Purely luck of the draw Analira. We were there around the same time, and had several problems with the busses. We really did enjoy AKL though--even though I didn't think I would. We WILL stay there again, but not until we've completed our quest of staying at every resort on property at least once!

annie We visted both AKL and WL when we were there in November, but haven't stayed in either. My husband and I both preferred WL. I liked AKL but WL was just more appealing, I suppose it's a matter of taste, though. We really loved the breakfast at Boma, so good food is a plus at AKL (although dinner at Artist Point was outstanding, too!) Also WL is closer to the action, just an enjoyable boat ride away from MK. Unless AK is your fave park, then AKL is the way to go!

trying to be helpful but probably not succeeding :),

Oh that is so true. If Disney created a resort that had the look and feel of frozen desolate tundra, it's the LAST resort I'd stay at. LOL

The same reason I have ZERO desire to go to Blizzard Beach. :D

Lucky you, that's quite a gift!

Have fun choosing. I've decided I'm sticking with the plan and I'm not gonna sweat the small stuff! :D

Thanks, Ahnalira. It's good to hear a good comment about the transportation. I'm sure the atmosphere and uniqueness of the lodge will more than make up for any small issues that may (or may not!) arise. We can't wait!

I don't mind so much, actually. We are from New England, near Cape Cod actually, and absolutely love the Yacht and Beach Club, which are about as close to New England seaside as any of them are. I guess I'm more seasonal in nature, we usually go in August and stay at an Epcot resort because I like that summer, boardwalk, beachy feel. On the other hand, I can totally see myself lodging it during the cooler months lol!
