Ours started out with a bang....No water! LOL
It was 15 degrees this morning, 6" of snow and my soon to be ex did not put the heat lamp on the well like he said. After two hours we now have water LOL The turkey is in the oven and the kids got what they wanted cause they picked it all out.
The kid's dad and older sister sent them $120 each so I get to go shopping again (oh joy).
My 2nd daughter (here in OK) got to go see the Kings play in Memphis a month ago for Christmas plus she got some CD's, DVDs, her cologne $25 for a teeny bottle yikes!....
Second son (in OK) got his gamecube, some games for that and playstation2 and some DVDs, his arrows for his bow.
They are out trying to build a snowman right now.
I had told my oldest son in CA to send my daughter here $20 cause there were these dishes I wanted at the BX on clearance. (He asked me what I wanted) My daughter bought them, they were regular $49 marked down to $12.50 cause they were missing 3 cups out of 6. Then they sell the pieces seperately so she could buy 2 more plates and 2 more bowls and make it a set of 8 for way cheaper than buying the 8 piece set. Having had 4 children, I have mix/match and wanted a new set for when we move out soon next year.
What do I get from my son??? The Disney Monopoly. Disney is fine but I have no patience for Monopoly and never ever play it. So now I need to give my second daughter back some money for buying those dishes thinking my son was sending her money for them. She hasn't asked but I know she's quietly ticked. My son knew that she had to grab them up once they go on the 75% clearance rack. Since she works at the BX, she can't buy clearance for 2 days so she tells me so I can go buy right away : ) Good system!
I've been doing the nordic track for 45 minutes 4 times a week so I needed new music. Daughter and son got me the Queen Greatest Hits pack. think it's 2-3 CDs, some large yankee candles and some soft large towels I wanted.
So far so good except the kids just came in fighting cause they were throwing snowballs at each other's faces....anyone want a few kids?
I had made my neighbors some cookies, a large yankee candle and some Godiva hot chocolate and Godiva bisquits so she came over for a few hours last night to talk and brought me a huge huge mug for my fat free hot chocolate, a candle and some sugar free candies LOL Here I was stuffing my face with cookies while she was here LOL She made the kids her rice krispee treats with m&m's which are really good.
We are just going to eat the turkey and left over ham today and all the stuff that goes along. I have learned to cook since moving so far away. Son is hooking up his gamecube to play and my daughter is waiting for the Kings Lakers game later. We have to do a mass conversation phone call at 2pm when everyone is at my sisters back in CA.
I did send my older kids back in CA money (they are 25 so they wanted money) but also got them a few little things.
Hope everyone's Christmas is doing good....I've got to go check on that turkey!

Having a nice Christmas day here. Spent it with family and it was hectic, but not NEARLY as hectic as yours sounds! Wow!
It'll be a tv night tonite, just cuddling by the fire, relaxing and preparing to go back to work bright and early tomorrow.

Well, I was up at 7 am to get the bird in the oven. "Dinner" was planned for noon. I expected to see 2 feet of snow, but alas there was nothing on the ground yet. Crawled back into bed for a few and awoke soon again to the smell of cooking turkey and the clamoring of my 4 year old wanting to go see if Santa has come yet (we have a gate at the top of the stairs so she can't sneak down) :) We fumbled down stairs and ripped through all the Santa surprises in about 5 minutes... then spent the next 2 hours cutting open boxes, adding batteries, attaching parts, placing stickers, reading directions, etc. Oh, the joy of Christmas :D
My mom visited at noon for turkey and to bring gifts for the little princess, and then my dad came by after mom left with the humugous doll house and Interactive Cinderella for her. Spoiled? Oh yeah - but as the only grandchild they will probably ever have, she is destined to be spoiled, lol. Dad had to take off soon after arriving though because we have blizzard like conditions now and they were talking about closing the roads.
So now we sit watching inch after inch of snow fall, lapsing into turkey-induced comas and zoning out on TV. There is no point in trying to shovel or snowblow - the wind is so fierce it blows the snow right back where it was. Not looking forward to tomorrow :(
Hope you all had a wonderful day, got lots of fun presents and spent quality time with those you love.
{hugs}
