Why? What made you think I would only listen to one side of the story?

What I see is two sides to the story. You can even get the jest of it from reading one of Steve's post on the ez board site. Couple that with a very blatant anti-welcome there to LL and a call to ban all who don't condemn her and it appears to be something that is being blown WAY out of proportion.

the word is "gist" not "jest" -- unless you intended a play on words.

Steve never made light of anyone's personal tragedies. Lunar Lady was never admitted to the forum where Steve's alleged offense took place. she relied on the word of a liar and manipulator and then did something offensive. it wasn't the first offense she committed. someone cried "enough" and she was gone.

I am in the process of writing the whole story down on paper for you to ogle at someday, but it's long, deep, dark and YOU came in way after the fact. You are just poking and prodding and trying hard to twist things.

Also, if you wanna play hardball, I do recall children being victims at your site also. Thank GOD it was noticed in time for one of your intended, but it will no doubt happen again, and THAT is what bothers me about your attitudes. (well, that and the fact that you denigrate humans and call them by NAME when doing so)

p.s. the words *C* and *T* can mean very different things depending on who calls me those names. if it's during some fun sex play then by all means call me all the nasty names you want, but if you're calling me those names in an effort to put me down or to make me feel like less of a person, then it's very effective in doing so.

There IS a difference. Learn it.

Coastal's buddy isn't sick anymore. He passed away.

I don't think Coastal is saying LL was right or wrong. He is not passing judgememnt on what she did either way.

You see, here at Common Ground, we don't have to agree with what everyone says or does. In fact we can disagree and still show respect.

LL and I have had our moments of arguing. In fact, we really did not see eye to eye at all for a time. I could say that there are things I don't agree with that she says. Still, though, I can see beyond all of that and respect the person she is. There are no secrets with her, as to how she feels. She says it all. She does not wait until your back is turned to talk about you, but will say what she feels to your face. I have seen a new gentleness in her words of late.

I went and read at the bashing site, and was not impressed with much there at all. It appears that folks there like to name call, etc. It is surely not my cup of tea, by any means.

you're very good at playing the martyr, karma. but you've had a long time to proactice, haven't you?

children have never been the victim, except when YOU were in charge, as I recall. parental attitudes towards children's misdeeds have been discussed in more recent times -- but the criticism was aimed at the mother who thought her child's actions wre funny, not the poor child whose mother doesn't have the ability to teach him right from wrong.

I actually read most everything posted in two of the forums there. I've read all you guys have posted here. I stand by my opinion that it is being blown way out of proportion.

All I can tell you is what I wouldn't do. I wouldn't call for a ban on everybody who didn't condemn you for your statements and I wouldn't go to other web sites where you posted and try to "enlighten" them as to your perceived shortcomings.

There might have been a time not to long ago when I might have, but alas, life is too short.

I believe in second chances. A couple of dozen second chances if needed!

Okay, I'm going to (at least for now) ignore the fact that you've made a blanket statement about the group here and ask this...

If you didn't wish to associate with LL due to this, and if I'm reading correctly other issues, why are you here?

You banned her, you're rid of her. Assuming you really don't know any of us here, what possible reason could you have for following her here? You would have no reason, or investment in us to 'protect' us from this menace. Why would you care? The only other reason I can see is to screw with her (or the rest of us) and mess up someone else's site rather than your own. If you wished to continue the discussion, you had the perfect place in your own forum where people are (I would assume) aware of both sides of the story.

I don't believe that anyone here, including LL has denied that the 'smiley' was posted. In fact she posted about the situation before any of you appeared here. Okay, you win, she did it. She's been banned from your site and the ability to do it again has been taken from her. Folks here aren't arguing that it happened. As I see it the only problem anyone here has with you is that you seem to be attacking idividuals, something that is not generally popular here. We're not perfect here, but most of us try not to do that, regardless of our personal views on an issue.

Feel free to stick around and get to know us if you like. I'm sure you'll find some you click with others you don't. But please, let's move on to something more pleasant.

This reply is to Omni and others who seem to think I'm playing a martyr.

Please forgive me for doing this but sometimes I just lose control.

There are several threads over there that are making fun of young people and the latest is on the Main Discussion Area. Subject Title "OK am I just being a bitch or....."

Thank god it was realized but how cruel and mean and low are ya gonna go before you make a huge mistake?
I only pray now that some bonehead hasn't sent her the link so she can see how sweet everyone is in real life.


That kind of crap isn't necessary in a public forum for heaven sakes.

Once again Karma person show how so very much like YKW she is. "If you disagree with me you must be part of some evil group conspiracy". Once again, I am not a member of the "bashing" site, nor have I ever posted there. Thanks Fantayzya. I think y'all are starting to get an idea of why, when I was already somewhat depressed, these kinds of actions were bringing me down further. I appreciate the support of those on this board and I'm truly grateful for those who are willing to overlook my shortcomings. We all do dumb things, but I feel there's more to people than just their mistakes.

A good example (as Francine has already pointed out) are the "fights" (if you want to call them that) Francine and I have had regarding board policy and saying what you want. I think I've also clashed with RN about stuff like that as well.

However, as I was saying to another friend on another board, I can't even remember specifically what it was we disagreed on. I just remember that we disagreed, feelings were hurt, we apologized and we've moved on. (And please don't anyone bring it up, I'm happy leaving it buried where it is)

I'm sure Francine, Fantayzya, RN, anyone else and myself are going to have disagreements. It's inevitable. It WILL happen. What will be the deciding factor in our personal happinesses will be in how long and hard we will be willing to carry the grudges as people.

Once in awhile I can be a "BLOW UP BIG and SPLATTER ALL OVER THE BOARD" person...I'll blow up, splatter, then come back the next day wondering "Gee...did I do that?" and hope that y'all can forget and forgive.

But, because this doesn't happen on a daily basis, people who know me know that it's so totally out of character that something must have been horribly wrong and they (typically) overlook, just like I would overlook if Francine all of a sudden came here one day and started cussing like a sailor. It's totally out of character and I would know that something was up. I may ask what's up, I may not.

My philosophy is that when people know you're going to be there to listen (not judgementally, either), sooner or later they'll let you in on what's eating them because they simply HAVE to sic it up and out of their systems.

However, I would like to state that, regardless of what's going on with these people, I'm doing much better...I've forgiven the hurtful remarks not because I'm conferring a favor to these people, but because I feel better and have a better life when I forgive and simply forget.

True, I get hurt later on when I trust again because I've forgotten what kinds of people some people are (here and in real life...ouch!), but the old saying "Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice shame on me" is another one I stand by.

It's right up there with "I'd rather by happy than be right".

Thanks again for all your support. Thanks for listening to me whine and cry. I've sent VB the "story" regarding this blow up and if any of you regulars want to know, I'll be happy to PM that to you as well, but I'm not going to drag it out here on the boards. I'd sooner just have this put to bed and let the attackers go back to their own boards and find another target.

Even if LL were inclined to do this, it might be difficult after being 'banned' don't you think?

Plus, wasn't it posted that her reaction was most likely a result of incorrect or incomplete information from others? To me this implies that at least some there are aware that this might not have happened had she had proper/correct information. If I'm wrong about this, or read something out of context forgive me. Till this came here, and frankly, even now, this really isn't my battle. I'm just trying to get it over with so we can all have some more fun. I was likin' that.

Oh, I too do my level best to forgive and move on (never forget, it's a girl thing) and yes it'll bite ya in the butt more often than not. I only wish those bites would take literal chunks out. Maybe then I wouldn't be blessed with all the ummmmm 'ballast' I have now.

let me explain, fantayzya. no one knew Lunar Lady had been fed a pack of lies until after she posted what she did. Steve's actions took place in a private forum to which Lunar Lady never had access. Lunar Lady's friend shared misinformation with Lunar Lady in private, where the other members of the closed forum were not present. Steve never did anything to Lunar Lady. so it came as a complete surprise that Lunar Lady would do such a thing to Steve.

but then again, it shouldn't have surprised anyone. after all, Lunar Lady couldn't spare a moment of sympathy for the 9/11 victims, or those people who were having a hard time dealing with what happened on 9/11. she kept telling everyone to "get over it already."
