I'm very determined to start the new year with a clean slate so I did some major overhaul on my computer:
Dumped all of the e-mails from a certain group that starts with a "S".
Upgraded my firewalls
Transferred several things to a floppy disk for...well cannot eleborate on that.
Put a period on a very long sentence and have moved on.
Should we do a "fresh start" party on the 30th? Sorta like a pre-New Year's Eve party? Let's start anew and I'll go first:
Hi! I'm Janie and I adore chocolates! My favorite ride is "It's a Small World" and my favorite sounds is the drums in Adventureland.
Quirky traits: I get a small facial tic over my right eye when I tend to get uptight and I scream in delight when I hear my favorite music: Manneheim Steamroller.
Guilty pleasures: Firing up the lawnmower and running it over a gravel road. I have "ping" scars on my legs as proof.

My Favorite ride is definitely NOT It's a Small World.
I adore the sound of the boats on the lake at Epcot.

***I get a similar tic only my tic affects my tongue. It's obvious when I'm uptight because you'll notice spittle dribbling out the corner of my mouth...sorry, TMI, huh? LOL
Oh god, my favorite music. Probably Dan Hicks and his Hot Licks...yeah...pretty sure that's my favorite.
Today anyway. :)

Hi, my name's Ahnalira and my favorite pastimes are horses, Disney, and being comfortable in my skin.
My "secret" pleasure is channeling animals. I have a different voice for each of the two dogs, two cats, and two horses in my Life. I telly you what: Those guys are really good company! They know just what to say to keep me happy and giggling; >)
My favorite quotes: "Joy is the path of those who laugh", "One good time deserves another", and "I'd rather be happy than right".
I am fascinated by the Mayan Tzolk'in and I love rituals.
My goal in this Life is to embody Grace in my attitudes, choices, and experience.

This one quote has kept me in good stead for many years, Ahnalira. I'd also rather be happy than right.
I also have a yearly blow-up where all my bad feelings, anger, disappointment and negativity just explode like an atom bomb. That's already happened this year so I'm already working on my fresh start.
Another "lovely" quirk of mine (due to 12 years banking) is that on January 1st of every year I MUST:
1). Open up my file cabinent of past paid bills
2). Open up a fresh new box of manilla envelopes
3). Mark each manilla envelope with the same name on the corresponding hanging file folder
4). Open up an new bankers box
5). Move all the old files from the drawer to the new banker's box and store it in another room
I have a fresh, new drawer then to start filing my monthly bills in. :D :D :D :D |

Don't know much about channeling but I believe our animals talk to us. Did the professional horse show thing for 15 years, then found out there wasn't a whole lot of money in it to indure the requests of owners just for the sake of a win. Worked slow and steady, won a bunch of titles and money but refused to give in to the fast fix to win a class. My thoughts always were long term. This animal will have to endure the fast fix and never be the companion that it should be. My lesson horses were unbelievable! I said no, they all heard "whoa". They just listened to my voice. Imagine that! Don't touch the mouth! This is not a car! Life in the big city and big time did not match with my feelings for animals but someone had to give lessons.
I miss it at times and still have many who do horses for a living but I got too attached.
