So,
over in La-La land, they have posted lists
of the "tragic alley members", complete
with descriptions of these "members".
Way down towards the bottom, we
find
"
234 tombo - * Dad, real estate
developer, church Volunteer"
This brings up some interesting
points / questions.
Didn't he originally claim to NOT
be from RCH?
( I may be incorrect on this point.)
What do you suppose his children
would think about his language
and behavior over here? The members
of this church he volunteers at?
I am pretty sure that most of the
world's major religions frown upon
his antics.
Another fine example of a fine,
upstanding citizen and member of
the Kool-Aid Squad.
People in glass houses should not
throw stones, and people without
stones should stay off the high
moral ground.

While I agree with your sentiment VB, Tombo
is no more of this board until he emails
me and begs sincerely.
His last 10-20 posts contributed
absolutely nothing of value.
However, should the group want
him back I will grudgingly stipulate.

So
what do you people consider is adding anything
of VALUE. Oh let me guess, has to be all
the cut down poems that everyone makes
up about the RCH people...now that is real
value isn't it. Or is it all the name calling
that i see going on here? Seems if you
have to stop Tombo from posting for saying
his opinion that has no value, Then MOST
of the members here should also be banned.
Just my opinion of course.

My
daughter and I ventured down to Champaign,
Illinois last night to see the Dave Matthews
Band, who were good beyond belief BTW.
After the show, we witnessed two
loadies in handcuffs propped against
a retaining wall, waiting for transportation
to the county hotel. Both were
stained with their own vomit, and
screeching nonsense at anyone who
came close.
Does anyone know where tombo & sarge
were last night? I think I know.

sarge, you may have a point here. however,
I challenge you to find one, just ONE post
of tombo's that was an actual contribution
toward the stated reason that Common Ground
exists.
Personally, I also have an objection
to people posting under multiple
monikers if their reasons are one
or more of the following
a) they want to hide their true
identities
b) they have been banned under
one name and decide to take on
another to get around their banishment
c) they are simply trolls and/or
pot stirrers
As to cut down poems, the ultimate
cut down cannot be found here where
we are largely poking fun and not
falsely accusing people of federal
crimes. The majority of what you've
found here is childish, yes - but
it is not libelous.

Isn't
it nice that anytime someone has an opposing
opinion it is said they are baiting you.
But it is ok for the people here to write
hateful and nasty things and everyone laughs
and has a good time at someone elses expense.

Your point would be taken if it were correct.
It was not opposing opinions, it was just
a name call to a certain individual. An
opposing opinion would be "I like the Contemporary" vs "I
don't like the contemporary" but what was
here was VB is a blow (whatever, I ignore
so don't even remember).
For the poems and laughing, I didn't
write one and I don't believe I
participated however, what I saw
were people joking around about
RCH, the site, the owners not the
individuals posting there other
than the ones who are known as
mass deleters.
Truth be known, the RCH is laughed
at all over the internet not just
here. I know people who post at
other sites who don't post here
and it's a joke all around. They
YKW did it to themselves by all
the ignorant crap they posted on
their site about the FBI. It was
foolish, it made them look foolish
and unfortunately, some people
elected to believe and help them
therefore, looking foolish themselves.
People here tried to tell people
to check the FBI out for themselves
but that's all one can do. Let
me know when all the arrests happen.
I'm still waiting.

Nobodys
holding a pistol to your head here sarge,
or whoever you are. Nowhere in the board
rules is there a 'value of content' clause.
So if you don't like it, you can kiss off
as far as I'm concerned.
But unlike your brethren from the
RCH who post here and run, then
delete when they get lambasted,
our posts are all here for posterity
to view. That is if said viewer
is in the mood to read shallow,
vulgar, and often hilarious ad
hominem attacks on people who come
here just to cause trouble, and
don't have the cajones to identify
themselves.

Well,
it's true that Tombo's most recent posts
were juvenile and useless. I'm surprised
to find out he's a dad - but he might be
a young one. I'm sure any church would
disapprove but even churchgoer's are not
perfect.
As far as opposing opinions, they're
acceptable here. The name calling
gets attacked mostly. However,
some can't claim to be any holier
here on that note. Some of us name
call even though its unprovoked,
and are certainly the ones to jump
on it immediately as soon as another
does it.
VB, I don't see any language from
Tombo that is worse than yours.
As a matter of fact, I think he's
just trying to top you.
I was a bit surprised you banned
him, Crank, but the real shame
is that when he posts his nonsense,
few here are adult enough to ignore
it.

Yes
i agree the stuff he wrote was awful, as
was the 4 letter words that was answered
to his post. I guess my point was not just
with his post. but alot of others i have
read where alot of people (from both sides)
argue and start a war out of it. seems
like some (not all) will do anything to
keep it going and don't want to reach common
ground.
Do i agree with them calling people
here felons and criminals? NO i
do not. Do i follow YKW2 and YKW?
again NO i do not. I do read there,
as i do here (in disscusion) & at
the dis, for the disney info that
i learn. I am not a follower of
anyone at any of the sites. and
i agree it has become a laughing
stock all over the internet.

Here's
my 25 cents:
As much as I'm disappointed in the way
things have been going in regard to Tombo,
from both directions, as I remember having
some great conversations with him, and
I'd prefer that most of the posts I've
seen, especially lately, would never have
been put out there, I'm uncomfortable with
the idea of banning him.
The banning thing is one of the
many issues several of us have
with how things were handled at
RCH. To do that here, despite even
my own opinion about how childish
this has been, would seem a bit
hypocritical. There have been a**hole
attacks on both sides. To ban one
person from one side, is it fair?
Is it doing what they say? Allowing
editorial comments from only one
perspective? Not sure, just asking.
And Sarge, who ever you are, get
a clue. To toss out accusations
when groups of your playground
buddies come over here, post, stir
up trouble, and then delete it
all, discussing all the while what
a big joke it is,(and I was personally
told by one of your cohorts that
this was the case) well, frankly
after repeat performances of this
juvenile behavior I don't believe
you have the right to question
our suspicion of posts by these
folks. Use a choke chain and rein
'em in and maybe the way they (Clubhouseketeers
aka Alley Kats) are viewed by others,
even beyond here, will improve.
Just my opinion. But then, I doubt
I could post any opinion in your
litter box.

Opposing
Opinions, writing a parody, and even Vehemently
disagreeing with someone is quite exceptable
here.
There is nothing of substance about
Tombo's posts.
Tombo just comes here to TO call
people names.
Nothing more.
I was very surprised to hear that
he is an adult.
I always wondered why somebody

Ok,
why not. Here is my opinion.
I support the banning of Tombo
if he cannot control himself. It's
not that his posts are insulting
or vulgar, but rather are aimed
directly at one particular member
reguarldless of the topic or theme
of discussion. I may be seeing
this as slightly one sided, but
what I see is Tombo directly posting
insults, again reguardless of the
topic and having nothing closely
relevant to the topic of discussion,
to VanBrujah after almost every
posts. I have no problem with a
person that occasionally gets pissed
and responds harshly. However,
when it becomes an insulting post
after a certain person posts everytime,
it begins to move into a questionable
category.
I do think he should be given a
chance to alter his behavior first
though.

I think
that tombo's had his second call from the
Governor, Parker. If I'm not mistaken he's
spent time in the CG woodshed before.
But his cardinal sin is this- he's
not funny. I'll accept insults
all day long if they make me laugh.
Tombo's post-to-laffs ratio was
unacceptable.

Hey,
all I wanted to do was point out the entertaining
facts about our favorite troll. I didn't
mean to stir up the pot like this.
BTW, Sarge, Tombo WAS warned to

Rest assured, he will probably
