Posted 02-12-03 12:00 PM If anyone thinks one day that their spouse doesn't have a brain or just thoroughly ticked at them, remember and calm down, kiss and make up LOL
My husband??? Such a dip and the reason why we have filed for divorce but fighting on issues. I am still in the house until June but that is wavering.
When someone was handing out common sense, he was elsewhere.
He fixes the squeaking on his car brakes by spraying it with stop squeak stuff LOL Think it would occur to him to change the brake pads? He's not allowed to touch my car at all. He cleaned all my seasoned black cast iron pans LOL
They aren't seasoned any longer. He bleached them in the dishwasher of all things!
When we first moved here, the dryer vent thing didn't fit into the hole, it would constantly slip out. I'm not a fix it person but tried to tape it up, buy different size hoses or whatever that silver tubing is called. My refrigerator began to rust, I got sinus headaches, the tiles on the floor started coming up from the steam. The dryer died so I went and bought a new one and paid the extra to have it delivered, set up and haul the old one off. Yesterday I get a massive sinus headache turns into a migrane which has been happening the past few days. It's been feeling odd in here, steaming and the floors were feeling wet so I go in to look a few minutes ago and guess what??????
The idiot took off the tubing of the dryer and covered up the hole to the outside with duct tape. I asked him WHY?????????? I paid for that guy to get the right size tubing, he screwed it in so it wouldn't come out and WHY???????????????????????
He said he did it a few days ago (hence the headaches) because it gets cold in here when he gets home from work (he gets off at midnight and sleeps in the very back bedroom) so he's been turning on the dryer for heat!!!!!!
Now he's mad because I'm mad at him but you know, there are days when I cannot believe that someone lacks that much common sense. I asked him if it occured to him that the reason the tiles were coming up from the floor was the steam? The mildew is from the steam, the rust is from the steam.
Here's a funny for you all.....I went to look in his car for a receipt (totally worthless to even try to look) and in the back seat is his old lawn mower (still new but he bought a rider mower a few months later). I asked him why in the world would anyone have a lawnmower in the back seat of a car (if he needed to take it somewhere, he could use the back of my truck!). Are you all ready for this??????
The garage door doesn't lock so he wanted it to be safe.??????? He's hauling around a dirty $150 lawnmower that probably still has gas and oil in it and can't go buy some cheap $20 new door handle with a lock for the side garage door? A side note here, he lost a receipt and this is the honest truth....yesterday he went to his car which use to be my CLEAN car until I bought the truck and used a wheelbarrow to clean it out.
I'm seriously doubting I can handle this until June. Thanks for letting me get my rant out, I need more coffee.

Posted 02-12-03 12:24 PM His name doesn't happen to be Steve does it? (my ex) Sounds like you're living my past life and the one I deal with still when forced to interact with him for the boys.
Yes, Virginia, there really are people with no common sense out there.

You could keep
the jerk. Just think of the money you would save on
gifts. Duct tape is cheap.
My FIL once fixed a leak under the kitchen sink by
clamping a radiator hose to it. And my Mother nailed
our Xmas tree to the wall once to get it to stand.

Oh well, forget it! The duct tape is going to save our lives anyway!
