I am proclaiming Saturday, February 8, 2003, the day without Chocolate.

I am worried about a few of you, and I think an intervention is in order. Tomorrow, no mention of Chocolate is allowed on any of the CG boards. Just walk away from 24 hours. Let it go.

This is tough love, but it is necessary. This also means your sigs as well…

Don't mess with me on this one, I have a child with a loaded diaper, and I am not afraid to use him!

Sorry Robb, but right now there is now way in hell I'm going without chocolate. There are a few days each month that about the only thing that goes into my mouth in chocolate, and this is one of them, as tomorrow is likely to be.

Are you threatening me?

Are YOU threatening ME?????

I see that bottle of Hershey's syrup behind your back...stop messing with my/our emotions this way.

Once again, I'm totally blown away by your unfeeling cruelty in my time of need.
I have to go now and I intend to eat several Lindor's truffles as well as an entire bag of chocolate covered almonds on my drive home and I plan to do the same tomorrow, Saturday...and there is NOTHING you can do about it!

So there.

Not a problem for me, Robb.

I'll be on the road and in the air tomorrow. Flying MWE where we'll be served lunch on REAL china, REAL linen napkins, REAL silverware, TWO complimentary glasses of wine, TWO cans of soda (If I want), and for dessert:

TWO WARM, GOOEY, CHOCOLATEY CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES STRAIGHT FROM THE MIDWEST EXPRESS OVENS...MMMMMMM-MMMMMMMM!!!!

MWE really knows how to take care of their customers!
A whole week of peaceful bliss, beginning with a giggle and ending with a kiss.

Yeah right, Robb! That idea is really going far here. Not!

You have officially overstepped a boundry.

I tell you here, publicly, I will not give up my chocolate. I have a right to it, and feel that without it I would be in peril.

That ain't no bottle of choclolate syrup. It looks more like butterscotch to me, and it's not edible.

I know where you live, you duck poker, you. I know people who control the chocolate trade in this state (Frango's especially), and I will not hesitate to use my power.

LL, have a great trip!

And Robb, do you REALLY think you can dictate the chocolate around here? Hell, it goes back almost to the beginning of our very existence here.

Besides, we are having a February B-B-Q and bonfire tomorrow (yes, it will be in the teens) and we just HAVE to have s'mores! And hot chocolate. The sacrifices one must make to take back our corners from the drug dealers.

Okay, that's it.

I am using my powers here to unban the banning of chocolate at Common Ground. In banning chocolate, even for one day, we are taking rights away from our posters and lurkers alike. We must rise to the call! We must eat whatever chocolate we want! We know our rights, and will not let them be violated.

Robb, I think you need help, man. I know you don't mean this, right? Listen to Ajax, he knows what is best around here, obviously.

Okay folks, move along. There is nothing to see here in this thread. Just move on to the next thread.

Robb, I am with you on the banning. I don't like chocolate, yet everywhere I go on CG, I am forced to look at, smell, and taste chocolate. Let some of us chocolate abstainers have a day, pleeeeeeese. Just one small day....

Some things you just gotta stand up for, Robb. I don't eat chocolate every day, but the thought of not having it available is abhorent, and tears at the very fabric of my existance on this mortal coil, or something nearly as pompous.

====shaking my head====

Amy, Amy, Amy, what can I say? No one is forcing you to read the chocolate threads. I mean we don't talk about chocolate in every thread at Common Ground. Or, uh, hmm, do we?

If you ask me, this is an evil plot!

I would have never even considered participating in the chocolate threads until now. Now that I know that we aren't supposed to even mention chocolate on saturday, I'm thinking you are going to see chocolate dripping in every forum on these boards!

Geez Robb, don't you know your audience here? The LAST thing you want to do is tell them not to do something. You would have been better off proclaiming saturday as OFFICIAL COMMON GROUND CHOCOLATE APPRECIATION DAY. Trust me, you would have seen less posts about chocolate than you will now.

Of COURSE you can have one day where you won't have to look at chocolate, Amy! Just don't sign on to Common Ground for 24 hours and you'll have your day!!

I just noticed that the resident chocolate thief is missing in action.

JANIE where are you? What have you done with the second vat of chocolate?

Hey, you are right! Janie has not been here at all in this thread.

Robb, what have you done with Janie? Getting rid of her won't rid CG of chocolate.

Uh oh. I think I just realized something.

I'm next! Robb, you just can't take it that chocolate has so much control here, can you? So, one at a time, you think you are going to take those who control the chocolate out of the picture. Oh yes, it will look like an accident, if they even find us.

Oh Janie, if only we had the chance to say farewell.

Now, who is willing to climb up into the crow's nest, and get Janie's stash. She surely won't be needing it anymore.

See...I think differently.

I think Janie's unheard from because she's busy moving the vat of chocolate to another undisclosed location.

AHEM! The official catch-phrase according to Fox News is now "Pound it flat".

Fitting...

I know she has a life outside this board, but when Janies not talkin', she's doin'! And we won't know what until she strikes!

So this is as good a time as any for ol' Ajax to bunker up and strap on his helmet. I don't want to be vulnerable when she gets wind of this thread.

Hey, I just had a thought. Could Janie be in the process of transporting the alleged thong free vat of chocolate to WDW to meet up with you?

AHA!

I knew she was working on you, LL, but I never, ever thought you would give in.

Well yes, but by a Sybase database this time.

Can't help it--I am one of the 3 people in America that dislikes chocolate .

And Crank, I have no desire to be pounded flat... (ok, maybe a little ).

LOL AmyA! God forbid that should happen!

The only other catch phrase now popular is "off-scale zero" and that's not a good one...
