I just hear on the radio that groundhogs, when they emerge from their holes in early Feb, AREN'T looking for their shadows...they're looking for love.
Male and female groundhogs come out to mate and, after mating, the female is likely to retreat back into her hole, while the male can either cruise around looking for more females or return to his den for more shut-eye.
So there you have it. The City of Philadelphia is
PIMPING Puxatawney Phil.

Philly has NOTHING to do with Phil. The reason he is called Puxatawney Phil, is because he lives in Puxatawney, Pennsylvania.

Oh my goodness, LL! They just reported on our local news this exact thing. It is love the groundhog is looking for.
But, he isn't from Philadelphia.

I'm from Michigan, which means the only important part of Pennsylvania is Pittsburgh and Philadelphia.
So there. Nyah.
