Last week in a moribund moment I begged on 'The Dis' for information on CD's with music from the WDW parks. I don't want to download from Kazaa or another site, because my gear isn't up to it.
A wonderful person my saw my plea, and sent me a link to Amazon.com and an imported Japanese disk with theme music from the parks, and the rides!
It's all there- Tiki Room, Splash Mtn, Pirates, Country Bear Jamboree, Haunted Mansion, and that hellhole with the singing dolls. Plus Fantasy in the Sky, It's a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow (CoP), The ToT, It's a Bugs Life, and enough other stuff to give you a serious WDW jones.
Upon advice of counsel, I've been warned that duplicating copyrighted materials is a violation of several laws, and most likely the TOS of Novogate. And I don't want to get our true friend Crank in Dutch with them. So PM me if this CD is something you might be interested in, and we'll discuss the weather

Grandbaby Kate and I were listening to another Disney CD in the cruiser today and she pipes up with "GRAMMA! Please play my FAVORITE song!"
Sadly, the next 10 minutes were filled with rounds of "It's a small world after alllllllllll"...I truly thought I would go mad but I wasn't brave enough to crash the PT Cruiser with me and the grand child inside!!!

Wait a minute, my ferver got the best of me. Is this the same CD that's put out by the Disney company, or are these the tracks that get played out of the speakers at WDW when you're walking around?
Kinda like "Mouse World Radio" at Live365?

it's a really BAD idea sometimes to start a thread with

This one looks like it was exported to Japan, LL, then exported back here. Amazon had four left when I ordered it Friday. On the front of the Jewel Box it says-
Walt Disney World Resort
In Florida
Official Album
It was issued in 2001 by the Walt Disney Company.
Did you see me at EPCOT on New Years Eve? I was wearing a yellow poncho...

Damn, I already have that. I got it last year when I got the 100 year celebration CD. It's in the car, otherwise I'd send you a picture of it. The playlist (yes, I've memorized it) is exactly the same.
It's got a purple/bluish cover on it with Mickey, Goofy, Pluto and I think Donald, but I'm not sure about Donald.
Rats.
I want the music that I hear on www.live365.com on Mouseworld Radio. Just the instrumental stuff you hear while walking around the parks. I have the Animal Kingdom CD and it's just about worn out. (Mental note to get another copy when I'm down there in a few weeks)

Sounds like the same one, LL-
My cover is Tangerine with a Chartreuse hinge pocket. It's got a 'Mickey' with Spaceship Earth in one ear, one of the MK trains in the other, and Goofy, Donald, Minnie, Mickey & Pluto in the face area.
The song titles are all in English, but the rest of the text & the fold out map is in Japanese.
I called our kid up at MSU and played the 'Splash' cut. She went nuts!

Sooooo there isn't a CD that just plays music--no words--like the parks play. I do want to get a copy of it, drive to the nearest public restroom and play the music in the restroom. Every time a new round of music starts up, I'll run out of the restroom and then run right back thus duplicating my manic discovery of musical restrooms at Epcot.
Oh the memories!
But then again, I might get arrested for misconduct....
