As Crank pointed out, I should have posted this here. Sorry!

What a really cool idea! I was searching for tips on www.bettycrocker.com on how to freeze cakes (I want to make a chocolate cake, but only want to keep 1/2) and I came across this cute cake when I was doing a search:

One of these days I'm going to figure out how to get one of those round, circular baking pans and make this!
A whole week of peaceful bliss, beginning with a giggle and ending with a kiss.

Ok, I don't know if you are being serious about the round or mounded cake pan or not, but more often than not they just shape the regular pan cakes by carving or slicing it into shape.

Or as I said in the other thread, use a pyrex mixing bowl as a cake pan. I've seen that suggested other places too.

I really like this cake idea!

hmm....that would work. I think if I were to do it that way, I would probably still slice the cake into a couple of layers anyway. More Icing! You know, so it wouldn't be dry.

I think it's ok here.

A recipe is a recipe...
